The incident took place at Harsh Vihar area and the victim has been identified as Amit Garg, who owns a fodder shop, they said.
He was in his shop when three men barged into his shop and opened fire at him when he resisted their robbery attempt.
After firing at him, they took the cash kept in the locker and fled from the spot. The exact amount looted is being ascertained, police said.
A case has been registered.
