Unitech company secy Deepak Jain resigns

Realty firm Unitech's Company Secretary Deepak Jain has resigned from the firm.
The Gurgaon-based developer has appointed Rishi Dev as new company secretary.
In a filing to the BSE, Unitech informed that the board has approved the "resignation of Deepak Jain as company secretary and compliance officer. He will continue to be associated with the company in other capacity."
The board also approved appointment of Rishi Dev as company secretary and Compliance Officer.
Faced with consumer complaints over delay in project completion, Unitech is looking to raise funds to complete over 40 housing projects comprising 13,000 flats within the next two years.

Unitech had earlier said it requires Rs 2,700 crore to complete these 41 pending projects while the receivables from the customers is about Rs 4,000 crore. The company is opening an escrow account for each project to speed up construction work.
