UP : 27 hurt in inter-caste clashes over poll outcome

27 persons were injured today during an inter-caste clash over the result of the assembly election in village Middha in Fefna area here, police said.
They said 22 Dalits and five Thakurs were injured in the clash following which cross-FIRs were registered.
A hut and a four wheeler was also set afire.
Police are probing the matter and no arrest has yet been made.
Fefna Assembly constituency was won by Upendra Tiwari of BJP, who defeated Ambika Chaudhary of BSP.
