Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with party ministers and legislators at his official 5 Kalildas Marg residence and gave them directions regarding the upcoming polls, the notification for which is likely to be issued later this month.
"We will be seeking votes on the basis of our government's work in the past six months. The chief minister has directed us to reach out to the people with the schemes launched by the government," a minister, who attended the meeting, told PTI.
On the selection of candidates, he said the process would be transparent.
Besides the chief minister, deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, ministers, BJP office-bearers and legislators were present in the meeting.
