"No department was left where organised corruption was not at its peak... Such that was not seen ever before... The state was turned into an laboratory of loot in the past five years. All limits of corruption were crossed," he said.
Yadav was intervening in the debate in the state Assembly on the Governor's address to the joint session of the Legislature.
Referring to BSP members who had walked out before his intervention, Yadav said they did not want to hear him as they knew he would speak on the situation during the previous government.
He said funds which could have brought prosperity to the state were spent on setting up parks and stone statues.
It was perhaps for the first time that statues of a living person was set up by the former Chief Minister, he said and questioned as to how she could be considered among great people.
"Statues were set up on prime land," Yadav said and added, "Machines were used to count notes (earned through wrong means)."
He said that because of the resources crunch created by the previous regime, his government was facing problems in preparing the budget.
However, at the same time, he assured the House that all promises made in the election manifesto would be fulfilled. (MORE)
