The Uttar Pradesh Combined Premedical Test (UPCPMT) was cancelled this morning after the seals of two boxes in which the question papers were kept were found to have been tampered with in Ghaziabad.
"Papers of the test were sealed in 40 boxes which were kept in two banks in Ghaziabad.
"When officials went to these two bank branches this morning, they found that the seals of two boxes had been tampered with. The exam was cancelled thereafter," Ghaziabad District Magistrate SVS Ranga Rao told PTI.
The fresh date for the exam is yet to be decided.
Rao said that the district administration would be sending a report in this matter to the state government. A probe is being conducted into the case, he added.
More than a lakh students were to appear in the test for admission to various medical colleges in the state.
