"The IPL company has been directed to immediately supply 1 lakh metric tonnes of additional urea to the state," Agriculture Production Commissioner VN Garg said after a review meeting on availability of fertilisers in the state.
He said pre-positioning of 1.8 lakh metric tonnes of phosphatic fertilisers have been made in districts to ensure its availability.
"There is no shortage of urea and phosphatic urea in the state," he said, adding for the month of November, the Centre has alloted fertiliser as per the allocation of the state and the companies have been directed to ensure its supply.
