UP govt organises 'Samadhaan Divas' for industry issues

In a step towards regular monitoring and prompt resolution of industry related issues, Udyog Bandhu, the investment facilitation agency of Uttar Pradesh government, today organised the first "Samadhaan Divas" here.
Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development and Executive Director Udyog Bandhu Sanjiv Saran informed that for resolution of issues relating to industries, Samadhaan Divas would be organised on every Thursday.
He said that all communications, including proposals, references and queries from industrialists and entrepreneurs received in the offices of the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary by Friday would be taken up for resolution on the following Thursday.
Saran said that along with related principal secretaries, departmental heads and nodal officers, concerned entrepreneurs or industrialist would also be invited by Udyog Bandhu for facilitating the redressal of issues on Samadhaan Divas.

"As required the state government is continuously rationalising and simplifying procedures to impart the much desired boost to industries. Samadhaan Divas is a mechanism to regularly monitor and address industry issues," Saran said.
He said that departments not complying with decisions taken in these meetings would be held accountable and action would be initiated against erring officials.
Expressing satisfaction on the fresh and straight forward approach of Udyog Bandhu, CII representative Alok Shukla said that it was a welcome step to hold weekly meetings for resolution of issues.
He said that CII would ensure wide publicity of this mechanism through their newsletter.
