In separate letters, Naik mentioned the Supreme Court's order on April 24 last year which directed the state government to select new incumbents to the anti-corruption ombudsman offices in six-months, a Rajbhawan release issued here said.
The Governor stated that he had earlier written to the Chief Justice and the Chief Minister on March 17 this year and said it was a matter of concern that despite SC orders recommendations were not received for the new appointments.
The Governor also wrote to Leader of the Opposition Swami Prasad Maurya, a member in the panel for selection of Lokayukta and the present Lokayukta N K Mehrotra.
Mehrotra was appointed Lokayukta for a tenure of six years on March 16, 2006 and later his tenure was extended by two years.
The SC in its ruling on April 24 last year had approved the extension but directed the UP government to appoint new Lokayukta and deputy Lokayukta in the state "preferably within a period of six months (since the order).
