District Information Officer R B Singh said that the nomination forms will be scrutinized tomorrow and the withdrawal will take place on January 27. The candidates not willing to contest election can withdraw their names on then.
Singh said that 11 candidates from Loni, 28 from Sahibabad, 20 from Ghaziabad, 17 from Muradnagar and 12 from Modi Nagar have filed nominations till this evening.
20 candidates have filed their nominations from BJP, Congress & SP alliance, BSP and RLD respectively. Remaining 68 candidates are Independents, Singh added.
