"Ajay Yadav was arrested from Gorakhpur yesterday by the STF on a tip off and cash, mobile phones, 36 cheques of different banks and accounts allegedly used by the gang," Additional Superitendent of Police (ASP), STF, Arvind Chaturvedi said.
He arrested when he along with other gang members was betting on India-Bangladesh match yesterday in Purdilpur locality in Gorakhpur, he said.
The other gang members managed to escape.
The STF is trying to elicit more information from the accused about the modus operandi of the gang, he added.
