BJP today accused the UPA government of having double standards with regard to the issue of corruption.
"When a minister from an ally of the UPA is found involved in corruption, he is immediately sacked, but when a Congress minister indulges in corruption, no action is taken," BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said at a press conference here.
BJP was not wrong in seeking resignation of ministers like (Railway Minister) Pawan Kumar Bansal or (Law Minister) Ashwani Kumar, he said.
The same UPA government was prompt in sacking A Raja and Dayanidhi Maran over corruption allegations, the BJP leader said.
"But the Congress is now trying its best to protect Bansal and Kumar," Prasad said.
