Urad, its dal recover on fresh buying

Prices of urad and its dal firmed up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today following fresh buying by stockists to meet rising demand from local parties against tight supplies from producing belts.
Moth, however, lacked necessary buying support and eased.
Traders said emergence of buying by stockists on the back of a rise in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly led to recovery in urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local rebounded by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,300-8,900 and Rs 9,300-9,500 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and edged up by a similar margin to Rs 9,400-10,000 and Rs 9,800-10,100 per quintal respectively.

On the other hand, moth eased by Rs 200 to Rs 5,400-5,700 per quintal.
