Urad, its dal up on retailers' demand

Barring a rise in urad and its dal prices on mild demand from retailers, other pulses remained steady at the wholesale pulses market in the national capital today in thin trade.
Traders attributed the rise in urad and its dal prices to uptick in demand from retailers amid pause in arrivals from growing regions.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 and Rs 300 to Rs 4,100-5,300 and Rs 5,200-5,300 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya also went up by Rs 300 each to Rs 5,300-5,800 and Rs 5,750-5,950 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal): urad Rs 4,100-5,300, urad Chilka (local) Rs 5,200-5,300, urad best Rs 5,300-5,800, Dhoya Rs 5,750-5,950, Moong Rs 5,000-5,500, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,600-5,800, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,200-6,700 and best quality Rs 6,700-6,900.
Masoor small Rs 3,850-4,150, bold Rs 3,900-4,200, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,500-4,900, best quality Rs 4,600-5,000,
