Urad, its dal weaken on subdued demand

Urad and its dal prices declined by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today due to tepid demand from retailers.
Traders said besides low demand from retailers, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions mainly led to decline in urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved down by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 7,350-8950 and Rs 7,800-7,900 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and enquired lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,900-8,400 and Rs 8,300-8,600 per quintal.
