Urad, moong move up on stockists buying

Prices of urad and moong rose up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today on increased buying by stockists against restricted supplies from producing belts.
However, arhar and its dal eased on decline in demand at prevailing levels.
Traders said increased buying by retailers and stockists coupled with restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in urad and moong prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 9,250-12,050 and Rs 10,300-10,600 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded higher by Rs 200 each 10,400-11,000 and Rs 10,800-11,200 per quintal respectively.

Moong and its dal chilka also moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,250-7,850 and Rs 7,850-8,250 per quintal, respectively.
Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 8,200-8,700 and Rs 8,700-8,900 per quintal, respectively.

On the other hand, arhar and its dal dara variety weakened by Rs 100 each to Rs 9,100 and Rs 12,400-14,400 per quintal, respectively.
