The United States has said, it is closely monitoring situation in China in the aftermath of the alleged car suicide attack in Tiananmen Square in the national capital Beijing, which China says is an act of terrorism.
"We are continuing to closely review reports about this incident," State Department Deputy Spokesperson, Marie Harf, told reporters.
"We do understand that the Chinese authorities have investigated it, I think they have arrested five people and declared it an act of terrorism."
She said that the US is going to continue to monitor the situation and look into exactly what happened before making a broader statement.
"We're continuing to closely review reports to determine exactly what happened," Harf said.
