US condemns terror attack on Pak police training centre

The US today condemned the terror attack on a police training centre in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province and said it is committed to supporting the Pakistan government in its efforts to end the scourge of terrorism.
"Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims of this cowardly attack, many of whom were training to support the safety and security of the Pakistani people," said Ned Price, spokesman of the National Security Council, the White House.
"The United States stands with the people of Pakistan and reiterates our commitment to support the Government of Pakistan in its efforts to end the scourge of terrorism and violent extremism and to promote peace, security and stability in the region," Price said.

At least 61 security personnel, mostly young cadets, were massacred and 165 others injured when heavily-armed Islamic State militants stormed a police training centre in Quetta, the deadliest terror attack on a security facility in Pakistan.
