Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Charles Rivkin, during the visit will meet with government officials to discuss areas and opportunities for increased bilateral trade and investment as well as Bangladesh's regional economic connectivity.
Drawing on his background as a former corporate CEO, Rivkin will highlight the opportunities for collaboration between American and Bangladeshi businesses in Bangladesh and the region, the State Department said yesterday.
He will also meet with government officials, garment factory owners and labour leaders to discuss progress on worker rights and worker safety issues in ready-made garment factories.
