The announcement was made by the company's CEO Sajan Pillai at a press conference here today.
"It will be a world-class security operating centre and it can monitor all the things required for the Central and state governments," he said.
"This is primarily our cybersecurity capabilities from UST Global Israel. We believe the cyber security defence launch will be a huge opportunity for Keralites," Pillai said.
He said UST has become the first billion dollar technology startup from Kerala after 18 years of its inception.
These four industries are getting heavily disrupted by the digital changes, he said.
Pillai said print media the world over was being challenged by other forms of media like social media and digital media.
Launched in 1999, UST Global is one of the pioneers of IT startups in Kerala.
The CEO said UST Global has been attracting more than 200 visits from global companies each year.Senior executives come here and it has created visibility for Kerala, he said.
Commenting on the recruitment process of UST, the CEO said the type of talent the company was hiring had also changed and they were now 'pushing the academics' and urging them to get them ready for the job.
Pillai said UST planned to work with universities and schools here to facilitate the training so that when the students graduate, they can be employed without the long cycle of waiting and waste of time and money.
Pillai said an MoU has been signed between technology firm Intel, UST Global and the Kerala government to set up a laptop manufacturing unit in Kerala.
The master plan on setting up of the hardware manufacturing unit would be finalised in January, he said.
