Following his meeting with a delegation of advocates here, Prasad told reporters that vacancies in judges' posts would soon be filled.
Prasad, also the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said that he had given instructions for improvements to be introduced in the telecom services. He also hinted that post offices were being readied to enter banking services.
"For promoting telecom services in the rural areas, optical fibre cables are being laid," Prasad told reporters here.
Prasad also met Srivatsa Goswami, an authority of Vraj culture and a Mahant of Radha Raman temple in Vrindaban, on Saturday evening.
The minister said that the NDA government would make every effort to protect Vraj culture and any development at its cost would be unacceptable.
