Officials said the incident was suspected to have occurred late last night and the burglers have gained entry in to jewellery through the roof skylight of the building.
"They have opened a safe locker and have taken away gold and silver bars...." Additional Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru East) P Harishekaran told reporters here.
He said the cost of the valuables lost is yet to be ascertained, adding that owners are expected from Mumbai.
Officials said they have opened only one safe locker and have taken valuables from it. Other valuables and ornaments in the jewellery have not been taken.
