The company had posted a net profit of Rs 176.21 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
However, for the entire fiscal ended March 31, the company's net profit stood at Rs 981.41 crore, as against Rs 614.59 crore in the financial year 2015-16.
The company's total income from operations during the fourth quarter rose to Rs 1,657.39 crore as against Rs 1,515.27 crore in the year-ago period.
However, its total expenses also shot up to Rs 1,444.79 crore during the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,287.67 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
