Vehicle lifters' gang busted, 5 held

An inter-state gang of vehicle lifters was busted today with the arrest of five persons and some vehicles, arms and sharp weapons were recovered from them here, police said.
Superintendent of Police Pankaj Choudhary said that during a special drive, a police team led by ASP Sudhir Joshi nabbed the vehicle lifters from Nainwa road area of the city in the wee hours.
Choudhary said the gang members would lift vehicles from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana and sell them in Rajasthan and other states after getting fake registration papers.
He said members of the gang were active in 12 states including Rajasthan, UP and Haryana.
