Vicky Tyagi murder case: Security tightened in district jail

Security has been upped in the district jail where juvenile shooter Sagar Malik, one of the accused in the gangster Vicky Tyagi murder case is lodged, officials said today.
The security has been stepped up here where Malik, accused of shooting gangster Vicky Tyagi, is kept in high-security barrack, jail officials said.
Minu Tyagi, wife of the deceased as well as other accused in the case are lodged in the jail, sources said.
On February 16, the armed juvenile, who had entered the courtroom masquerading as a lawyer, mortally shot Tyagi multiple times, and was arrested from the spot that day.
Brijbir Singh, another accused in the case was arrested on February 17 and was remanded to judicial custody till March 2.
The deceased, an alleged gangster, was one of the accused in the 2011 Barkali case, in which 8 people of a family were killed.
