Vidarbha region continues to reel under intense heat wave

Vidarbha region in Maharashtra continues to reel under intense heat wave conditions with Chandrapur today recording 47.9 degree Celsius, the highest maximum temperature in the region this season.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre here, today's temperature in Amravati was 47.8 degree Celsius, while it was 47.5 in Nagpur.
Brahampuri in neighbouring Chandrapur district recorded 47.4, while temperature in Warsha was 47.2 degree.
Other cities in Vidarbha record temperatures above 40 degrees were-- Akola (46.3), Yavatmal (45.5), Gondia (46.1), Washim (44), they said.
