The two minute 35 seconds video manages to give a chilling insight to the world full of twists and turns created by filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, who also helmed the first installment.
Vidya Balan returns in the lead role of Bidya/Durga Rani Singh and new entrant to the franchise, Arjun Rampal plays a police officer trying to lift the covers off the mystery.
The trailer opens with Vidya receiving a call that her daughter is kidnapped and in the next shot she meets with an accident and goes into a coma.
