"The accused identified as Pritam Singh, who is posted as village level worker in the office of SDM, had demanded Rs 3 lakhs in two installments for allowing the complainant to reconstruct the boundary wall on a plot located in village Jharoda Majra in Burari," said Additional Commissioner of Police (ACB) V Renganathan.
The complainant in turn reported the matter to ACB following which a trap was laid yesterday and Singh was allegedly caught red handed from the parking of Tis Hazari Court accepting Rs 1.5 lakh, first installment of the bribe money.
"Further probe in the case is on," said Renganathan.
