Last year, police had seized 13,100 kgs of ganja, valued at Rs 3.79 crore and booked 116 cases against 304 people.
"The contraband was seized from various parts of the district. We have booked 124 cases this year," SP (Rural) Vikramjeet Duggal told reporters at a press conference here today.
"In order to check cultivation and transportation of ganja, certain precautionary measures have been implemented. Police managed to identify smugglers and transporters and booked cases against them," he said.
