Vrinda Sarup appointed School Education and Literacy Secretary

Senior IAS officer Vrinda Sarup was today appointed as Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy.
Sarup, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, is presently working as Special Secretary within the same department under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
She has been appointed in place of R Bhattacharya, a 1978 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, who superannuates on Wednesday, said an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
