A group of local traders here have submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav demanding arrest of accused in the alleged murder of a businessman earlier this week.
Khadyan Vyapar Mandal president Harish Gupta demanded arrest of accused in the murder of Yash Pal Singh, who was killed on August 10 at Naraharain village in Dehat Kotwali.
The incidents of atrocities, loot, dacoity and murder of the businessmen are on a rise in the district, Gupta said.
The police were not successful in curbing such crimes and criminals, he alleged.
He said the mandal will start a campaign if the police failed in arresting the accused.
