: Release of water from Mettur dam for drinking water purposes was today increased to 2,000 cusecs from 800 cusecs, PWD officials said.
They said the water level in the dam today stood at 43.79 feet against its full level of 120 feet.
The inflow was 350 cusecs, they said.
