Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi today asked all observers for the sixth phase of polling in West Bengal on May 5 to ensure "rigorous" enforcement of law and order.
Zaidi and other top brass of the poll panel held a video conference meet with all general, police, expenditure and awareness observers to review poll preparedness of the districts of East Midnapore and Coochbehar.
The poll panel specifically asked them to ensure rigorous enforcement of law and order, as was done in the previous phases, officials said.
The last and sixth phase of polls will be held on May 5.
