WBPCB brings out book on pollution to create awareness
Press Trust of India Kolkata To create public awareness about pollution of environment and waterbody conservation, the West Bengal Pollution Control Board has brought out a book.
Named 'Paribesher Tare Sakale Amra' (we are all for environment), the book comprises rhymes and poems on topical issues like noise pollution, water pollution, waterbody conservation, tree plantation.
"The poems/rhymes in Bengali have been composed in such a manner that the issue is understood by common people," state Environment minister Sovon Chatterjee said after launching the book last evening here.
"We will distribute the book among all state-run, state-aided libraries in districts and despatch to block-panchayat offices and district magistrate offices," the minister said.
