A WBSEDCL statement said on routine inspection of 5751 puja pandals throughout the state 1823 puja pandals were penalised worth Rs 31.64 lakhs.
WBSEDCL has deplaoyed 1506 LT mobile vans for round the clock to restore power for any unforseen power disruption.
On Maha Astami, WBSEDCL received a demand load of 5000MW including additional puja load.
There was no report of power disruption in the city area under CESC.
