Delhi lost to Rajasthan Royals in a last-ball finish on Sunday after having started their campaign in IPL-8 with a defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings.
"We got so close in the last couple of games. We could have won the Chennai game and the last game as well. We got so close to the line but just couldn't hold on. It's still the start of the season, we can still turn it around and the boys are doing really good, the environment is great. We are enjoying our cricket and that's how it should be. We will try and bounce back and bounce back hard," Mathews said.
"T20 is all about enjoying yourself, having fun. You can't put a lot of pressure on ourselves individually. We just have to go out there and enjoy.
"Not only me, all the boys are equally good and we can turn the game around at any given opportunity. We just have to go out there, enjoy ourselves, be positive and impressive. We just need that one win."
Talking about the Daredevils team combination, the Sri Lankan cricketer said, "Obviously it depends on the opposition and the wicket we are playing. We've got players who can handle different situations and different conditions and different bowling attacks.
"We have our combinations flexible and that's the way it should be, especially when you are batting, the top seven batters have to be ready, when given the opportunity to try and prove yourself, go and enjoy and play positive cricket.
