Lazing around on a private beach in Goa or engaging in organic farming in a remote Karnataka village or being close to the divine at an 11th century monastery in Prague, comprise a few out-of-the-box travel experiences that seem to be popular with vacationeers.
A new website now caters to a niche section of travelers who are passionate about exploring not just a new destination but also its history, culture, cuisine and people.
"With a bouquet of over 50 properties to choose from in both national as well as international destinations, we are offering a one-stop-shop for spectacular experiential retreats," says Tanuja Pandey, COO, Vunique Resorts Pvt. Ltd.
The website 'Vuniquehotels.Com', a hotel marketing and selling platform, aims at bringing together experiential and different properties in India and abroad that claims to offer personalized holiday experience that "stands apart from the crowd and clutter of many box type rooms of multinational chains of hotels."
"We have just had a soft launch have already booked 100 nights last month and 74 nights this month. From the time you book with us you will have an attendant with you making enquires about your requirements on your stay and giving you updates on our itinerary and planning your trip," says Pandey.
According to recent survey by TripAdvisor, 71 per cent of Indian travellers making plans to take a vacation research for enriched and unique experiences.
"We have properties like Bodhitree which is in the heart of Kolkata and is an eclectic mix of a bed and breakfast, a serviced apartment, a guest house, an inn and a boutique hotel. Then we have Mahubagh which consists of four bungalows in a village neat Alibagh on the Konkan coast with a rocky beach. There is also a 150 year-old beach house in Goa with a private beach," says Pandey.
