West Bengal Assembly adjourned after obituary references

West Bengal Assembly was today adjourned for the day after obituary references were made in the House to eminent persons who died recently, including writer Suchitra Bhattacharya.
Making obituary references in the House, Speaker Biman Banerjee read out accounts of their lives and work, as the members stood up in silence for two minutes.
The West Bengal State Council of Higher Education Bill and Dental Services (amendment) Bill, 2015 are set to be tabled in the extended Budget session of the West Bengal Assembly starting from May 15.
The West Bengal State Dental Services (amendment) Bill, 2015 would also be placed.
