West Bengal Governor in stable condition

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi is now in a stable condition and had good sleep last night.
"He is at present haemodynamically stable. There is no active bleeding and he had good sleep last night," a release issued by a private hospital, where he was under treatment since yesterday, said.
"The Governor, who underwent an operation between 9 pm and 11 pm yesterday, is currently under close observation by a team of physicians, ENT surgeons and the anaesthesiologist," the release issued by the CEO of Belle Vue Clinic, P Tondon, said.
Tripathi was admitted with acute Epistaxis (nose bleeding). He was found to have been bleeding from an artery in the nose with nasal spur bleeding. He has hypertension and diabetes, with coronary artery disease, and is on aspirin. Aspirin causes blood thinning and increases the bleeding tendency.

Tripathi was rushed to the private hospital at around 7.30 AM yesterday when the octogenarian started bleeding from his nose due to high blood pressure.
A team of doctors is monitoring his condition, the release said.
