According to the MeT department, the day temperature settled at 38.5 degree Celsius, which was one point below normal and yesterday's 39.5 degree Celsius as well.
The minimum settled at a comfortable 21.4 degree Celsius, four notches below normal. Unseasonal rains and thunderstorm last evening were the main cause of temperature coming down in the city.
Yesterday, 4.8 mm rain was recorded between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM while high velocity winds with a speed of 100 kmph were also witnessed in some parts of the national capital.
Weatherman has predicted similar weather conditions tomorrow, as partly cloudy sky and thundery condition are expected in some areas.
The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 38 deg C while the minimum may settle around 21 deg C.
