Widow arrested for selling poppy husk

A widow, who allegedly sells poppy husk in small packets to labourers, has been arrested by the Railway police here.
The woman, a resident of Talwani Kalan of district Ludhiana, bought poppy husk at cheap rate from Gwalior and sold it to labourers in Punjab, Government Railway Police officials said.
She used to sell it in packets for Rs 100, Rs 200 and Rs 500 depending on the quantity of poppy husk, they added.
A GRP team arrested the woman yesterday during a checking at Sirhind railway station.
