Wife murders 60-year old husband, hangs self

Suspecting the fidelity of her husband, a 55-year old woman allegedly murdered him and committed suicide in the district today, police said.
60-year old Ramasamy, a handloom owner, was found hacked to death and his wife hanging in their house in Elachipalayam by their only son Ramesh, police said.
Ramesh told the police that his mother had suspicion that his father was having an extra-marital relationship and used to quarrel with him frequently.
Police registered cases under IPC section 302 (murder) and Crpc 174 (inquire and report on suicide).
