Deepa Jaglan got 1,470 votes whereas her rival Deepika Sahoo got 1,555 votes, according to officials.
The third candidate Kamlesh managed just 25 votes.
Sunil Jaglan, who is the outgoing sarpanch for the Bibipur village, reserved this time for women candidates, has confirmed that his wife Deepa has lost the poll.
