Actor Willem Dafoe will star in Disney's live action film "Togo".
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Florida Project" actor will play Seppala in the film.
To be directed by Ericson Core, the film is about 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska, also known as the Great Race of Mercy, in which dog-sled teams relayed to transport diphtheria antitoxin serum through harsh conditions over nearly 700 miles to save the town from an epidemic.
The film is being developed for Disney streaming service which is expected to launch next year. It will be produced by Kim Zubick.
Dafoe, 62, will also be seen in DC's "Aquaman" which will hit the theatres in December this year. He also has Dee Rees' Netflix film, co-starring Anne Hathaway and Ben Affleck.
