Wipro partners First Data for application support services

Software services major Wipro today said it has partnered with First Data Corporation for providing development, implementation and testing services on the latter's payment technology suite of solutions.
Under the agreement, Wipro will be a systems implementation provider, offering installation, implementation, BAU support, development and testing services to the VisionPLUS and AccessPLUS solutions, Wipro said in a statement.
VisionPLUS is a payment processing solution for financial institutions that enables the issuance and processing of credit, debit, commercial and prepaid cards, as well as consumer loans, loyalty and merchant accounts on a single platform.
AccessPLUS is a suite of business process management solutions driving operational staff efficiency in servicing customers and supports portfolio parameter management.

Arena Animation partners Pixar to train students in India * Arena Animation, the animation training arm of Aptech, has partnered with US-based Pixar Animation Studio to provide training to on the latter's Renderman Software.
This year alone, Arena expects to train about 11,000 students on the software that helps in rendering 3D animation and visual effects. It has been used in movies like Jurassic Park, Terminator II and Toy Story among others.
Pixar's team will provide its software, curriculum, training resources and other technical support to Arena for delivering Renderman software training to students enrolled in training centres across India.

Data Security Council of India inks MoU with JGU * Data Security Council of India (DSCI), a body set up by Nasscom , today said it has signed a two-year MoU with the Jindal Global Law school of the O P Jindal Global University.
Under this agreement both institutions will undertake collaborative research, frame public policy and conduct public advocacy in the areas of cyber laws and data protection, DSCI said in a release.
The alliance will support closer industry-academia interactions through joint research and hosting of national and international conferences on Information Technology law and policy, it added.

IGATE announces new relationship with CNA * US-based outsourcing solutions firm IGATE today announced that it has formed a relationship with CNA, one of the leading commercial insurance companies in the US.
As part of it, IGATE will implement transformational technology and best practice processes to advance the evolution of CNA's current operations in the Long Term Care business, it said in a release. Through a collaborative process, CNA will design and implement a new operating model for claim and policyholder administrative services, it added.
