Woman, 2 children hacked to death

Tukuna Munda allegedly hacked to death Puna Bayani, her son Rugudu (5) and Puna's 2-year old daughter with an axe on the outskirts of Rankimundasahi villlage following an argument over a trivial matter, police said.

While he dumped the body of Rugudu in an abandoned well, the body of the girl was found nearby.

Puna's blod-splattered body was found lying near a field, police said.

Tukuna was then beaten up by villagers, while leaving the area, and later handed over to the police.

The axe used for the murder has been seized.
