Woman, 3 daughters commit suicide by jumping into well

A woman along with her three daughters allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well at Ugai village in Ajmer district last evening, police said today.
The deceased, identified as Sonia Bairwa (35), Anjali (6), Aarti (4), and 18-month-old Ghana, had gone to wash clothes and bathe, an officer at Kekari police station told PTI over phone.
The bodies were lifted, and post mortem done before they were cremated this afternoon, the officer said.
The reason of their extreme step was yet be ascertained, he said, while the woman's father had lodged an FIR alleging dowry harassment and mental torture.
