Woman accuses husband of cheating; FIR registered

Amid a raging debate over Muslim personal law and women rights, a 30-year-old Muslim woman has filed a complaint against her husband for allegedly cheating her by lying about his first marriage and 'clandestinely' marrying for the third time here.
According to the complainant, her husband of nine years kept her in the dark about his first marriage. She also alleged that he duped her of Rs 70,000 and valuables, police said today.
The woman alleged that her husband took the money from her on the pretext of starting real estate business, Superintendent of Police K K Chaudhri said.
The victim also accused her husband of marrying for the third time without divorcing her, he said.

A case was registered against the suspect, his brother and father yesterday. We are investigating the matter, police added.
