Woman commits suicide by jumping before running train

A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train on the Ambala-Rajpura rail section near Ambala city today, an official said.

The deceased was identified as Nisha (23) hailing from a village that falls in Yamunanagar district, the railway police said.

The woman was married to a man from Ambala a few months back, they said.

Government Railway Police have registered a case and launched investigations.

A GRP official said the cause behind the woman taking the extreme step could not be ascertained yet.
