Woman commits suicide, one-year old child survives

After a tiff with the relatives of her husband, a woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous cow dung powder and injected the poison to her one year old boy here.
However, the boy Dipalokesh survived and is recovering, police said.
Many relatives have visited the house of one Rajkumar, following the death of his father four days ago and played with the child, which was not liked by his wife, they said.
As the child fell ill and was taken to a hospital, Thangamani fainted there and the doctors attending to her ruled out any health problem to her.
Knowing that she had enacted a drama, Rajkumar picked up quarrel with her yesterday night, police said.

Dejected over it the woman consumed the cow dung powder laced water and also injected it to the child.
As she fell unconscious in the early hours of today, Rajkumar took her to the Government Hospital, but died before admission.
The child is recovering, police said.
